Ada is the PyLadies Rivers AI mentor — named for Ada Lovelace. Ask her questions, debug your code, and get complex concepts explained in plain language, any time you're stuck between sessions.

What the 8 weeks cover
From first line of code to a finished project — the program is built as five progressive modules stretched across eight weeks of live sessions and practice.
Basic Syntax
Variables, data types, operators, and writing your first working Python scripts.
Data Structures
Lists, tuples, dictionaries, and sets — how to store and organize real information.
Control Flow
Conditionals, loops, and functions, with practice exercises after every session.
File Management
Reading and writing files, working with paths, and handling real data on disk.
Build a Real Project
Everything comes together in a final, working project you build and present — plus mentor support to debug, polish, and finish strong.
Delivered through weekly live sessions, WhatsApp-based support, and the PyLadies Handbook — with Ada, our AI mentor, available for questions between sessions.
In-Person Python Workshop — Port Harcourt
A free, 2-day, in-person, mentor-led Python workshop for beginner women and girls in Rivers State — extending our WhatsApp-based training program for learners who want hands-on, in-person support.
- Friday, February 12, 2027 — 10am–4pm (6 hours): Python fundamentals, guided practice
- Saturday, February 13, 2027 — 10am–4pm (6 hours): control flow, functions, mentor-supported mini-project
- Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria
- Open to 30 beginners — no prior coding experience required
- Mentor-supported, roughly 1 mentor per 7–8 participants
